Nancy at the Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade

Everybody loves a parade, especially Nancy Cartwright, whose love began when she performed in her high school marching band! December 16th, 2005, Nancy was honored to be the Grand Marshall of The City of Lynwood’s annual Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade. Historically, the Lynwood Candy Cane Lane Christmas Parade is one of only two night-time Christmas parades held in Southern California. Prior to the parade Nancy was presented a plaque by Lynwood City Councilman, Reverend Al Freddie Johnson, thanking her for her community work.

Devonshire PALS Welcomes Nancy to the Board

The Police Activities League, PALS, for the Devonshire Division held its annual Installation of Board Members at the Porter Ranch Country Club. Over steaming coffee and lively conversation, Lorraine New, President of this PALS chapter, handed out awards to dozens of supporters who deserved special acknowledgment for their efforts to help youth and raise funds for the new Youth Center.

Happy House founders Nancy Cartwright and Rose Goss were installed as new board members, taking the oath of office to support the organization. Nancy gave a brief but lively speech and surprised the assembly with a sizable donation toward the capital campaign, bringing PALS that much closer to groundbreaking a better tomorrow for the youth of the north San Fernando Valley.

Meet the Mayor of the North Valley

Hear ye, Hear ye!

Check out the new Mayor Memo page. It will give you all the latest on Nancy’s foray into “politics” as she takes on city hall, oh, er, she IS city hall! It’s a fun new hat for Nancy and she wants to wear it for fun and to really help out.
